What to Expect

Each 60-90 minute learning session is tailored to your child’s unique learning needs. One-on-one individualized support can assist greatly with learning new and difficult concepts,  “catching up”, improving and enriching already mastered skills. Through evaluation, customized instruction, practice, assessment and feedback, our aim is for your child to enjoy the process of learning and feel success and confidence in their developed skills.

• For the first few Learning Sessions, we allow parents to observe for comfort. We recommend families enjoy The Beachcomber Resort’s Living Room Coffee Shop or The Deep Restaurant across the street while waiting.
• Success is achieved through evaluation, customized instruction, practice, assessment and feedback.
• Ages 6-15.

How it Works

1. Discovery Meeting  

• An opportunity for students and parents/guardians to tour our location
• Review any prior learning assessments, report cards and Individual Education Plans
• Discuss expectations and goals and map out a plan for success according to your child’s interests, learning preferences and abilities

2. Continued Sessions

We will conduct a math or language assessment based on your chosen service to determine your child's skill level and create a targeted plan for success. Learning sessions, lasting 60-90 minutes, will be scheduled as often as needed to align with each session’s learning goals.

4. Feedback

After each tutoring session, parents/guardians will be emailed feedback, if they would like, summarizing our learning time together and an update on your child’s progress. This can be helpful when communicating with your child’s teacher.
